A structured tote in genuine leather, embossed with an alligator grain. The pattern is pressed into the hide. This is patterned leather, not exotic skin.

It holds its shape rather than slumping, so it stands up on a desk or a passenger seat. At 32cm high, 30cm long and 11cm wide it takes a folder, a laptop and the things you carry every day. It weighs 1.2kg empty, which is worth knowing if you are carrying it from morning to evening.

Two ways to carry it. The top handles are integrated into the body, and the crossbody strap detaches when you would rather not use it. Inside there is a polyester lining and four places to put things: a main compartment, a zip pocket, a phone slot and an open slot pocket. A slit pocket on the back takes a travel card or a phone. The top zips shut.

Embossed leather hides scuffs better than a smooth finish, but it still wants conditioning once or twice a year. Wipe it with a dry cloth, keep it out of direct sunlight, and store it with a little stuffing so the sides keep their shape.
